Awesome People Reading

Between yesterday’s thank you note and this morning, Awesome People Reading gained 2,000 more followers. I’ll amazed and, quite frankly, humbled. I’ll hold off on thank you notes for a bit and get back to the pictures, which is what we’ve all come for, but, wow, people, just wow. Thanks again.

Today, Awesome People Reading passed the 3,000 follower mark. I’d like to thank everybody who follows the tumblr. I thought I’d take the opportunity to answer some questions that I’ve been asked by people who have followed the blog:

1. Who is the most popular reader? Going off of hearts and reposts, Kurt Vonnegut was the top of the pile for a long time. He was recently overthrown in the like-a-lympics by Charlie Chaplin.

2. What the heck is going on in that photo of Houdini and the ghost of Abe Lincoln? When he wasn’t performing, Houdini was an active and energetic debunker of spiritual mediums and other charlatans. He created the photo of him reading press clippings to Lincoln in order to demonstrate how spiritualists created fake ghost photographs.

3. Can you include [name of some awesome person you like here]? I’ll do my best.

4. Should [name of somebody I’ve already posted] really be considered awesome? Sure. I think so.
